Chad Fetzer, Pastor
Chad Fetzer began serving as pastor of NewHaven in August of 2011. Prior to coming to NewHaven, Chad served 5 years as Student Minister at First Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Chad was raised in Shawnee, OK and is 1990 graduate of Furman University in Greenville, SC where he graduated with a B.A. in History. In 1993, Chad earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. In 2009 Chad earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University.
Chad has served in a variety of ministry positions, including student ministry positions in Oklahoma City, Ardmore and Shawnee. He spent 5 years as chaplain of the Unity Health Center in Shawnee. While serving at Unity Health Center, Chad met his wife, Tammy. Chad and Tammy have two sons, Josh and Jonathan, and one granddaughter, Taylor.
Chad’s hobbies include: Oklahoma State University athletics; playing on the PS4 with Jonathan; traveling; food; and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
