NewHaven Church takes seriously the God’s call to make a difference not only of the community we live in, but in the world as well. To accomplish this we partner with great organizations locally and abroad from many different backgrounds to share God’s love. Lawton Food Bank

The Lawton Food Bank is a regional food distribution center that provides food to approximately 9,000 people per month in SW Oklahoma. During November and December the food bank assembles and distributes close to 4,000 holiday baskets for families needing food. NewHaven members volunteer their time to sort and organize canned goods collected during holiday times and after various local food drives. NewHaven sponsors congregational food drives and also provides financial support.
Washington Elementary School

Washington Elementary is a K-5 elementary school located at 805 NW Columbia in the historic center of Lawton. NewHaven’s Washington partnership has focused specifically on helping students read and promoting faculty/staff morale. NewHaven members spend one-on-one time reading with Wilson students each week, provide books and resources for reading emphasis projects, deliver appreciation gifts and support to teachers and staff – even help judge the school science fair! NewHaven Church has become a recognized and valued presence on the Washington campus.
Kardia Life Ministries – Belize

The mission of Kardia Life Ministries is to match people and resources to meet needs in Belize in the name of Jesus. Currently Kardia Life works in Belize through church planting in the Orange Walk District, church construction in Orange Walk Town, scholarships for school children in the Toledo district, short-term medical/dental teams for several remote Belize villages and leadership training for Belize pastors. NewHaven Church provides support to Kardia Life’s work in Belize and sponsors mission teams that travel to Belize in the summer.
